CrossFit is characterized by constantly-varied, high-intensity, functional movement-based workouts. CrossFit will make you stronger, faster, and healthier, preparing you for anything life throws your way! “Constantly-varied movement” refers to the vast array of motions completed during each workout, whereas high-intensity workouts are clinically proven to provide the best results. Finally, functional movement means exercising your body in a way that is useful to your everyday life; picking a barbell up from the ground and picking up a baby are essentially the same movement!

So, what do we do? We run, jump, row, climb, swing, pick up heavy things, throw them, hold them over our heads, and put them down again—while having a blast! At Ft Wright CrossFit, you won’t find mirrors along the walls with people standing in the corners, plugged into their iPods. We are a community, the most important element of CrossFit. Together, we work hard (and play hard!) while encouraging and supporting each other because we care about our community’s well-being and fitness.

CrossFit Kids

CrossFit Kids was developed to help kids grow up healthy and strong. By nurturing a love of fitness early in life, CrossFit Kids gives children and preteens the right foundation to avoid common problems associated with childhood inactivity and obesity.

Classes are designed with kids in mind! They combine challenging skills practice, energizing workouts, and fun games that focus on building strength and conditioning. Kids will use elements of gymnastics, weight lifting, running, jump rope, and more. No matter your child’s athletic ability, we will carefully instruct him or her to push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump safely and effectively to promote healthy living!

Classes: Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:15 pm and Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 am. Price is $5 a class.

Wright Zone, is a group exercise session that uses mixed modal exercises performed in specific interval patterns. These exercises and intervals are structured to stimulate your metabolism to burn calories for up 48 hours after the workout – thereby boosting your metabolism.
